Improving Teamwork Effectiveness

The definition of teamwork is the cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause (teamwork, C.E.D.). The topic of teamwork in a business or school setting often comes with a negative connotation. It does not need to be that way. The purpose of a team is to combine the effort of multiple individuals to accomplish a task with an outcome that could not be accomplished by an individual. The potential of a team is very high and when a team works together effectively.

There are multiple ways to improving teamwork effectiveness. One, identify the common goal that everyone is trying to achieve (Watson, 2011). A team needs to be cohesive so it is important that everyone knows what they are working for. Two, encourage quality teamwork by rewarding good performance (Capozzi, 2012). Rewarding those who are performing well will boost the confidence of those receiving recognition and encourage others to work harder. Three, give everyone a chance to participate (Williams, 2013). Everyone has good ideas and is important that everyone gets the opportunity to voice their opinions.

What Can A Professional Blog Do For A Business?

Professional blogs can benefit a business in a variety a different ways. One, blogs draw more traffic than a normal business website and are favored by search engines (Holmes, 2012). The more people who visit a blog, the better chance of success. Two, blogs are constantly refreshed with new content that helps a blog stay favored by search engines (Quinn, 2008). Three, customers are more loyal to blogs than they are than a normal website (Holmes, 2012).

The Benefits of Professional Blogs

Professional blogs can benefit a business, such as Snapple, in a variety of different ways. One, blogs draw more traffic than normal websites and are favored by search engines. Two, blogs are constantly refreshed with new content. Three, customers are more loyal to blogs than to websites.

Professional blogs are very effective because blogs are actually favored in search engines. Social networks and other online tools cater directly to blogs and provide a way for even greater visibility for a blog (Holmes, 2012). The more people you can get to visit your blog, obviously, the greater chance you have at success.

Blogs automatically collect content that help it stay favored by search engines. Since customers can post “feed”, content is always new and fresh. When the content of a website or blog is recent, it is favored by search engines. Search engines love new pages (Quinn, 2008).

Blogs have been proven to generate more visits and greater loyalty than just a website (Holmes, 2012). Blogs are more interactive and not seen as dull as a normal business website which keeps bring customers back. With more visitors, there is more opportunity to advertise and sell your services.

Snapple will benefit through using professional blogs. As I have discussed, they would be more relevant in search engines and will be able to gain more customers. Because blogs create high retention rates, Snapple will find greater success as they will have repeat customers.
